HOW TO PREPARE YOUR SUCCESSOR .

There is no need leading and after leading and there is nobody who is better than you to take over from you.

7 tips to choosing your successor.

1-accept the fact that you are not indispensable-you need to know that whenever you are in a leadership position you are time bound.
2-you need to identity people who are A-players. you need to identity those that have the capacity to take over you.
"There is something wrong with you if you can't identity your successor".
3-you have to include your potential leaders in conversations,meetings, programs etc. you need to go the extra mile by pushing them.
4-you need to stretch your succession candidates.
give them assignments that will take them out of their comfort zone through wisdom.
5-coach them in their development. get to engage them so that they can debrief you.
6-pray for your successors
6-don't just develop one person,coach/train a hand full if you have the time to follow/mentor somebody or it has to do with the opposite sex,you can push the person to someone else because your relationship with God is more important.

THE LEADER AS A FOLLOWER .
follower-ship  is one of the most difficult things to do but it is one of those tools that go give you Succes.
"God's pattern of leadership is by dictatorship" when God puts a leader in position he does not expect us to oppose their leadership

HOW TO FOLLOW

1-NECESSARY PREPARATION
2-FOLLOW BLINDLY AND FOOLISHLY
3-FOLLOW WITH A RUGGED AND DOGGED DETERMINATION NOT TO QUIT

if you are not following anybody naturally nobody will follow you

4-FOLLOW WITH WISDOM

"followers are more important to leaders than leaders are more important to followers"
